Job summary

FreeBalance is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead test automation across UI, API, and integration layers of the GRP platform. You will architect and maintain automation assets, work with QA leads, and collaborate with DevOps to scale coverage across 20+ modules.

The role requires deep hands-on Java automation expertise with Playwright for UI and REST Assured for API validation, plus CI/CD integration in Jenkins and strong framework design skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing and building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong automation engineering background with Java as primary language.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain a scalable Java-based test automation framework using Playwright for UI and REST Assured for API testing.
• Define framework architecture: project structure, base classes, page object model, test data management, reporting, retry logic.
• Develop and enforce automation standards, conventions, and documentation; build reusable utilities; ensure parallel execution and CI/CD integration.
• Create end-to-end UI test suites for critical workflows; apply POM; manage dynamic UI interactions; build smoke and regression suites.
• Design and implement comprehensive REST API test suites; validate contracts, schemas, status codes, and data integrity; run tests in CI.
• Collaborate with DevOps to maintain test environments; monitor flakiness; support shift-left testing.
