Job summary

Fliff Inc. is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join the DataFeed Team and help build and evolve the core data platform for sports data.

You will design Python services for ingestion, transformation, and distribution of events, markets, odds, scores, and other sports entities, working closely with backend, product, trading, QA, and platform teams to ensure reliable data flows. You will own near real‑time and batch processing, improve data validation and monitoring, and participate in

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production Python experience.
• Strong Django experience with asyncio.
• Production experience with Apache Kafka and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience designing/operating backend services in production.
• Ability to reason about data correctness, edge cases and failure modes.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Python services for sports data ingestion and distribution.
• Integrate with third‑party data providers and normalize provider formats.
• Build near real‑time and batch data processing pipelines.
• Improve data validation, monitoring, and replay tooling.
• Work on domain models for events, markets, odds, and scores.
• Collaborate with backend, product, trading, QA, and platform teams.
