Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking an experienced Python Engineer to design and build scalable backend services for a long-term enterprise project in investment banking. You will work on a distributed microservices platform using Spring Boot-based ecosystems and Python runtimes, focusing on clean architectures and high performance.

The role involves collaborating with architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders in an Agile environment, mentoring teammates, and applying best practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Python development delivering production systems.
• Advanced Python proficiency, scalable microservices (FastAPI, AsyncIO).
• Experience with API integration patterns and inter-service communication (REST, Kafka).
• Two backend/data-intensive solutions delivered to production (high-throughput APIs, data pipelines or search).
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), caching (Redis), message queues, and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, asynchronous programming, API design (REST/gRPC).
• Testing practices: unit/integration/e2e (pytest) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to evaluate tools/frameworks and iterate PoCs quickly.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and IaC.
• Strong debugging and optimization for high-performance Python apps.
