Job description

About the Job

This is a senior contributor role responsible for leading selected, high‑priority public affairs projects for the Danone group of companies in Poland. You will translate legislative and political developments into business recommendations, shape influence plans, and strengthen Danone’s position in dialogue with public administration, parliament, and industry associations. This role requires strong confidence in navigating the Polish legislative and institutional environment, a deep understanding of how government administration and decision‑making processes work in practice, and a sound basic understanding of the European Union legislative and public policy framework. It also requires political judgement, resilience, and the ability to operate effectively in demanding stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities
  • Leading strategic public affairs projects across selected business and regulatory priorities in Poland, particularly in areas related to taxation, packaging policy, public consultations, and broader food, beverage, and specialised nutrition agendas with a material impact on Danone’s business.
  • Representing the company and building strong relationships with public administration, parliament, industry associations, coalition partners and external advisors, while actively strengthening Danone’s presence and influence in relevant external forums, organisations and policy discussions.
  • Monitoring legislative developments, assessing business impact, shaping Danone’s responses, and driving internal alignment across functions such as Sustainability, Legal, Regulatory, Tax, Communications, R&I, and business teams.
  • Acting as a trusted partner for selected high‑stakes external interactions, supporting difficult stakeholder conversations, helping defend Danone’s position, and contributing to issue and risk management where public affairs engagement is required.
  • Contributing to the European PA Network, ensuring alignment and sharing best practices across markets.
About you

You bring

  • Proven track record of leading complex advocacy projects with tangible business relevance.
  • Experience in building and managing relationships with public institutions, parliament, industry associations, and external partners.
  • Good understanding of the broader public policy context affecting regulated industries; experience in FMCG, food, health, nutrition, sustainability or another regulated environment will be a strong asset.
  • At least basic understanding of the European Union legislative and public policy landscape.
  • Strong ability to translate legislative and political developments into practical business recommendations and influence strategies.
  • Experience operating effectively in cross‑functional environments and coordinating multiple stakeholders without formal line management.
  • Fluent Polish and English, both written and spoken.
Key capabilities
  • Strong political judgement and stakeholder awareness.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
  • Ability to build persuasive arguments and influence decision‑makers.

About us
  • Work in a professional environment with a well‑developed feedback culture.
  • Flexible work model in a hybrid system.
  • Workation - ability to combine work with leisure for 30 days a year; you can work from virtually any location in Europe.
  • Access to a benefits platform offering discounts on company products and vouchers for cultural and sports events.
