Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline related to food science.
  • 3–5 years of experience via labs, internships, or technical placements.
  • Experience in fast-moving consumer goods and product development.
  • Proven ability to lead RDQ teams and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken communication; ability to write technical reports.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and execute product development projects across RDQ, marketing, and manufacturing.

  • Plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials per GMP and HACCP.
  • Conduct shelf-life testing, design for quality, and consumer testing.
  • Write reports, analyze results, and provide conclusions and recommendations.
  • Create and maintain consumer-led product specifications.
  • Use digital simulation models to interpret insights and data.
  • Manage stakeholders and influence decisions with analysis.
  • Support Kitchen and Aurora milestones with scientific rigor.
  • Coordinate pilot-scale trials and PLM data entry.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Consumer Sciences, Procurement, and Process teams to align data.
  • Balance independent project ownership with cross-functional collaboration.

Job description

  • Conduct product shelf-life testing, design for quality, and prepare consumer tests
  • Write technical reports, analyze and interpret results, and provide conclusions and recommendations
  • Create and maintain accurate consumer-led product specifications
  • Use digital simulation models to interpret consumer insights and commercial information
  • Manage stakeholders and influence decisions based on analysis and interpretation of results
  • Support Kitchen and Aurora program milestones with scientific rigor
  • Coordinate pilot-scale trials
  • Execute PLM data entry and manage technical product specifications
  • Collaborate with R&D Category, Consumer Sciences, Procurement, and Process teams to align ingredient data
  • Balance independent project ownership with daily cross-functional collaboration
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience, ideally via university lab work, internships, or prior technical placements
  • Food science, science, or engineering experience, ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods market
  • Experience leading RDQ teams and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage activities
  • Ability to work independently and on teams with manager guidance
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and create and implement solutions
  • Ability to apply technical understanding to interpret and analyze data and reach clear conclusions
  • Effective verbal and written communication, including technical writing
  • Ability to influence senior-level and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Coaching and mentoring abilities
  • Interest in ingredients/raw materials, functionality, interactions, and flavors
  • Scientific methods and technical rigor for solving complex research problems

  • Basic familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, data management, or specification databases is a plus
