Job summary

Atotech brand of MKS in Poznań is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (PLC Developer) to design, develop, and maintain PLC control logic for advanced automation projects.

You will work with engineering, commissioning, and project teams to deliver reliable automation solutions, using IEC 61131-3 languages (ST/SFC), JScript, and industrial networks such as EtherCAT, PROFIBUS, CANBus, and OPC UA. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing software for PLC-based automation systems.
• Strong experience with JScript or similar scripting languages.
• Hands-on experience with IEC 61131-3 programming languages, ST and SFC.
• Knowledge of EtherCAT, CANBus, PROFIBUS, and OPC UA.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing PLC-based automation systems.
• Understanding of industrial automation and SCADA environments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC control logic using JScript and IEC 61131-3 (ST/SFC) to support automation projects.
• Design automation solutions meeting customer requirements with reliability and safety.
• Integrate PLC systems with equipment and business applications using industrial networks.
• Configure and support EtherCAT, CANBus, PROFIBUS, and OPC UA communications.
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize automation systems for efficiency and rapid issue resolution.
• Collaborate with software, commissioning, and project teams for successful delivery.
• Provide timely technical support to customers and resolve issues.
