Asana, Warsaw-based, is seeking a Senior Platform Reliability Engineer to design and build core platform systems ensuring reliability and performance at scale. You will own traffic controls, collaborate with infrastructure teams, and shape reliability by design across the architecture.

The role emphasizes strong backend engineering, distributed systems thinking, and the use of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and observability tools to build resilient infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating backend systems at scale.
• Familiarity with distributed systems patterns and capacity planning.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Terraform.
• Experience defining and working within explicit reliability and performance targets.
• Clear communicator and strong collaborator across teams.
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging tech to improve productivity.

Responsabilités

• Design and build core platform systems – load shedding and traffic controls – at scale.
• Own critical platform concerns like ingress and egress and gateway traffic.
• Define stable interfaces and libraries for other platform teams.
• Lead end-to-end projects from scoping to rollout across multiple teams.
• Partner with infra teams to embed reliability by design in architecture.
• Debug hard problems and prevent recurrence.
• Share knowledge through code reviews and design discussions.
