Job summary

Sprout Social is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Kraków engineering team. You will help build, scale, ship, and monitor a high-scale platform using Scala, Python, and multiple data systems across front-end, back-end, and SRE domains.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements, improve processes, and mentor peers while delivering reliable software at scale.

Qualifications

• 4 years experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
• 3 years experience programming in object oriented languages such as Scala or other JVM languages
• 3 years experience with functional programming paradigms and ecosystems (e.g., Scala Cats, ZIO)
• Professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Ensure we build, scale, ship, and monitor our platform reliably, leveraging technologies listed.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and complete feature work.
• Improve processes, systems, and tools we use to deliver quality products and champion technical direction.
• Uphold project quality and planning through meeting deadlines, breaking down work, and ensuring testing and monitoring.
• Mentor and raise the skills of other engineers through knowledge sharing and feedback on PRs and designs
