Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer to drive OpenSearch and ElasticSearch observability features for a large Germany-based platform, working with Kubernetes, security tooling, and AI-driven workflows.

You will lead sprint planning, mentor juniors, manage open-source upgrades, and ensure secure, scalable delivery of updates to live environments, with on-call rotations and extensive documentation contributions.

Qualifications

• Kubernetes Administration, Operators & Extensions (Strimzi, VPA, CRD, AWS LB, Reloader, HAProxy Ingress, Istio), local dev environments (Kind/Minikube/k3d), troubleshooting
• K8s Security Tooling (cert-manager, External Secrets, OPA Gatekeeper, Vault), TLS/mTLS/OpenSSL
• Observability Backends & Pipelines (Grafana, Jaeger, Splunk, OTel Collector, Logstash)
• CI/CD & Git-based Workflows (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins)
• Creation & Management of AI-based Workflows
• Willingness to learn & adaptability to performance feedback

Responsibilities

• Lead sprint-based feature development for OpenSearch & ElasticSearch observability solutions
• Perform peer code review, quality assurance, and mentor junior team members
• Manage frequent upgrades of open-source dependencies
• Take timely action on reported security vulnerabilities and licensing alerts
• Deliver working software updates to the live environment following successful review and testing
• Participate in sprint planning, execution, and review
• Contribute to documentation: Monthly Maintenance Reports, Feature Development Reports, SDD extensions, and ADRs
• Participate in developer on-call rotation outside core hours
