in Kraków is seeking a Senior Software Platform Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for developing an internal Platform Control Plane that automates security and operational controls across enterprise technology platforms. You will combine strong software engineering skills with Platform Engineering practices to design and build scalable automation services, workflows, and integrations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience developing APIs, data schemas, and application workflows.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP and modern web infrastructure (DNS, TLS, load balancing, reverse proxies, service meshes, API gateways).
• Understanding of databases and data modelling.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and web technologies.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Grafana and InfluxDB.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Fluent English and Polish.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing controls and identify opportunities to automate them through platform services.
• Design and develop automation services, APIs, workflows, and integrations.
• Build scalable solutions for the Platform Control Plane.
• Work with databases, data schemas, and microservice architectures.
• Improve platform reliability, engineering practices, and operational efficiency.
• Drive automation, process improvements, and reusable solutions.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to define and implement new platform capabilities.
• Support technical alignment and knowledge sharing across distributed teams.
• Contribute to mentoring and development of engineering teams.
