Job summary

Capital.com is building out its AI-powered platform, with the Platform Architect owning end‑to‑end architecture, delivery, and governance of AI tooling across the organization. You will design, build, deploy, and operate the platform including its infrastructure and DevOps, reporting to the Director of Product Security.

You will lead engagements with Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, and future providers. You will build cloud infrastructure for AI workloads on AWS and GCP, deploy integrated automation

Qualifications

• 8+ years in engineering, with at least 2 years building LLM-based systems in production.
• Comfort operating as the first person in a function and delivering without a team.
• Production-grade Python tooling that others depend on.
• Deep, hands-on experience with Anthropic and/or OpenAI APIs (function calling, tool use, streaming, RAG, token management).
• Hands-on experience with MCP servers and MCP gateways for flows between AI agents and internal services.
• n8n deployment, configuration, and multi-step automation at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design the AI platform architecture and govern access, costs, and policy across the org.
• Own architectural decisions and document justifications for the AI platform.
• Evaluate and select models, tools, and frameworks as the market evolves.
• Deliver the platform as a service so teams can run agents in governed cloud infra.
• Securely configure and manage cloud resources for AI workloads on AWS and GCP.
• Build Python integrations for internal tooling and data sources; implement RAG pipelines.
