Job summary

Ramboll in Gdynia is seeking an experienced pipeline engineering leader to guide onshore/offshore projects within gas, hydrogen, and CO2 infrastructure. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, shape FEED and detailed design, manage tenders, and grow a high-performing design group in a collaborative culture.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and the ability to engage clients while delivering safe, sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• MSc in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in onshore/offshore pipeline engineering (gas, hydrogen, CO₂ or similar energy infrastructure).
• Good understanding of pipeline design standards and industry practice.
• FEED and detailed design experience; constructability and installation knowledge beneficial.
• Project management/tender leadership experience is advantageous.
• Experience with offshore pipelines or cables is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English and Polish for professional use.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise on onshore/offshore pipeline or windfarm cable projects, including routing, alignment, mechanical design and analysis, crossings, constructability and installation methodologies.
• Developing engineering studies, calculations, specifications, technical reports, design philosophies and employer's requirements.
• Supporting project delivery through all phases, from feasibility studies and concept development to FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning and operation.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including civil, geotechnical, environmental, GIS, O&M and electrical specialists.
• Leading the projects or discipline work packages and project teams, depending on experience and career ambitions.
• Supporting tenders, business development activities and client engagement.
• Working closely with Ramboll's global organisation to deliver high-quality solutions for Clients.
• Working closely with clients to build trust and Ramboll brand in the market.
