Job summary

EPAM Systems in Krakow/Gdansk, Poland, seeks a Senior Node.js Developer to join a hybrid team (3 days in the office). You will design and develop scalable microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-enabled solutions while modernizing legacy systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

We expect strong Node.js/JavaScript expertise, TypeScript, and hands-on experience with AWS services, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Agile methods.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience including Node.js development.
Strong expertise in JavaScript with practical Node.js experience.
Demonstrated experience in designing microservices architecture and building REST APIs.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs.
Analyze existing legacy applications and define a target state architecture for modernization.
Implement and optimize solutions in AWS cloud environment (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
Ensure performance, security, and reliability across applications and services.
Collaborate in an Agile setting with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Contribute to code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
Use testing frameworks and monitoring tools to maintain product quality.
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, providing technical insights.
