Job summary

Euroclear is seeking a Senior .NET Software Engineer within Group Business Solutions (GBS) to design, build, and evolve enterprise-grade applications critical to Euroclear's operations. You will own applications, drive modernization, and promote engineering excellence across teams.

You will contribute to cloud migrations, implement resilient architectures, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and security requirements while mentoring engineers and shaping long-term roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting large-scale distributed applications using Microsoft technologies.
• Deep expertise in software architecture, design patterns, DDD, and cloud-native development.
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to align with stakeholders, architects and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out end-to-end design and build of enterprise-grade .NET solutions with focus on scalability, resilience and security.
• Drive requirements analysis, estimations, feasibility assessments and risk identification for complex initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify modernization opportunities and cloud migration paths.
• Champion production reliability and lead root-cause analyses with preventative actions.
• Create and govern high-quality designs and technical documentation per Euroclear standards.
• As an application owner, own roadmaps and long-term sustainability of applications.
• Review changes, support design decisions, and guide future evolution of the app.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams for excellence.

As a Senior .NET Software Engineer within Group Business Solutions (GBS), you will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving business-critical applications that support Euroclear's operations and strategic initiatives. You will combine deep technical expertise with application ownership, working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions. Beyond software development, you will drive modernization efforts, promote engineering excellence, and help ensure the long-term sustainability and reliability of the application landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the end-to-end design and the build of enterprise-grade .NET solutions, defining technical specifications ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and maintainability across the application landscape.
• Drive requirements analysis, solution estimation, technical feasibility assessments, and risk identification to enable predictable delivery of complex initiatives and strategic programs.
• Align with business stakeholders, architects, and product teams to build and ship solutions, help identify modernization opportunities(e.g. cloud migration), and maximize business value through technology-driven enhancements.
• Champion production reliability and support stability by leading root-cause analysis, implementing permanent corrective actions, and following proactive monitoring and observability practices.
• Create and govern high-quality solution designs and following strict Euroclear methodology by creating technical documentation, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, and long-term technology roadmaps.
• As an application owner, own the application roadmap and long-term sustainability, Ensure applications continue to meet business requirements.
• Review and approve application changes and enhancements, Support design decisions and future evolution of the application
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting engineering excellence, best practices, and continuous improvement.

What You Need to Have for This Role

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting large-scale distributed applications and enterprise-grade software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
• Deep expertise in software architecture, design patterns, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and cloud-native application development.
• Strong experience with:
  • Visual Studio, Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation

The Group Business Solutions (GBS) division ensures the competitiveness of Euroclear by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our technical teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that doesn't compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.
