Job summary

8Bit - Games Industry Recruitment represents a growing mobile-gaming studio seeking a Senior .NET Backend Developer to help build a new Puzzle RPG on a major IP. The role centers on shaping backend architecture for high performance, reliability, and a superior mobile experience.

You will architect, develop and maintain backend services in C#, work with databases, caching and cloud infra, and containerize with Docker/Kubernetes, collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality features.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience with .NET and C#.
• 2-3 years in games industry with gameplay systems or live features.
• Strong SOLID, Clean Architecture and design patterns.
• Experience designing RPG mechanics or in-game economies.
• Experience with persistence layers and caching.
• Ability to profile and optimize game logic performance.
• Fluent English.
• Located in the CEST time zone.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop and maintain backend services in C# for a mobile RPG.
• Work on network programming and build systems designed for high performance, low latency and high availability.
• Manage databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching (Redis), and cloud services (AWS).
• Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate closely with other developers, designers and product stakeholders.
• Explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical teammates; participate in cross-functional planning and decision making.
