FUN CRAFTERS SP. Z O O. is building a data platform for a mobile game with hundreds of millions of users.

We seek a Data Platform Architect / Lead to own end-to-end data infrastructure, define architecture, set technical standards, and build a platform powering decisions across product, LiveOps, and marketing. The role includes hiring and mentoring engineers, designing scalable pipelines, and collaborating with leadership to translate business needs into a roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Data Engineering with 2+ years as tech lead or architect
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and modern data stack tools (dbt)
• Strong Python and SQL skills; proven collaboration and mentoring

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture of the data platform
• Make, document, and defend key technology decisions balancing scalability, cost, and team capacity
• Partner with game, analytics, and marketing leadership to turn business needs into a platform roadmap with clear priorities and SLAs

We are building a new mobile game with the ambition of reaching hundreds of millions of users and processing billions of events every day. And we are now looking for a Data Platform Architect / Lead to own our end-to-end data infrastructure that matches these ambitions. As the founding leader of the data function, you will define the architecture, set our technical standards and together with the team build a data platform that powers decision-making across product, LiveOps and marketing across the company.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture of the data platform.
• Make, document, and defend key technology decisions, balancing scalability, cost, and team capacity.
• Partner with game, analytics, and marketing leadership to turn business needs into a platform roadmap with clear priorities and SLAs.
• Build core parts of the platform hands-on.
• Hire, mentor and grow the data engineering team. Establish engineering practices, review culture, and operational discipline

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years in Data Engineering, including 2+ years as a tech lead or architect, with a track record of designing data platforms end-to-end.
• Strong architectural judgment, clear design documentation, and the ability to defend decisions in review.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS (S3, Kinesis, ECS, Athena etc), and modern data stack tools (dbt).
• Hands-on experience with ETL orchestration (Airflow or similar).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and analytics best practices — schema design, partitioning, versioning, etc.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in Python and strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and growing engineers.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
