We are looking for an experienced Senior Middleware Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in Kubernetes, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or DevOps. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, automating, securing, and operating enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms across multiple environments, leveraging Amazon EKS, OpenShift, Terraform, GitOps, and modern cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Kubernetes Platform Engineering: Design, build, operate, and maintain Kubernetes platforms on Amazon EKS and OpenShift across development, test, acceptance, and production environments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules to provision and manage infrastructure, including automated plan and apply pipelines.
- GitOps & Application Delivery: Implement and manage GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Helm. Develop, maintain, and version internal Helm charts for platform components and add-ons.
- Node Provisioning & Autoscaling: Configure, operate, and optimize Kubernetes node provisioning and autoscaling using Karpenter, ensuring efficient resource utilization and platform reliability.
- CI/CD & Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using GitHub Actions and scripting to improve delivery speed, consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Observability & Monitoring: Own platform observability using Datadog, including monitors as code, alert tuning, incident troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of monitoring and alert quality.
- Platform Security: Implement and maintain platform security controls, including HashiCorp Vault, External Secrets, IAM Roles for Service Accounts (IRSA), Kubernetes network policies, certificate management, and runtime security tooling.
- Platform Reliability & Operations: Troubleshoot complex platform issues, improve availability and performance, support incident response, and implement operational best practices.
- Platform Modernization: Participate in Kubernetes cluster upgrades, platform migrations, technology lifecycle management, and the adoption of new cloud-native capabilities.
- Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and platform standards while collaborating with development, security, and infrastructure teams.
