Job summary

SoftServe is expanding its Robotics Group to design and deliver automation solutions for industrial environments. You will help build robotic systems from arms to autonomous platforms, blending software, controls, electrical engineering, and system integration.

Responsibilities include prototyping, testing in simulation and real-world settings, and leading pre-sales activities to showcase capabilities and value for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Strong experience in designing, integrating, and commissioning complex robotics or industrial automation systems.
• Advanced knowledge of PLC and SCADA technologies, preferably Siemens; Beckhoff or Allen Bradley is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robotic platforms such as Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Universal Robots.
• Electrical design, control cabinets, and electrical engineering documentation using ePlan or AutoCAD Electrical.

Working within SoftServe's Robotics Group, you will help develop robotic systems ranging from industrial robotic arms to autonomous platforms, combining software, controls, electrical engineering, and system integration expertise. Your work will directly influence the performance, safety, and reliability of next-generation automation solutions.

About The Role

Working within SoftServe's Robotics Group, you will help develop robotic systems ranging from industrial robotic arms to autonomous platforms, combining software, controls, electrical engineering, and system integration expertise. Your work will directly influence the performance, safety, and reliability of next-generation automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions for different kinds of robots: mobile robots, robotic arms, etc.
• Build multiple rapid prototypes as well as production-ready solutions
• Test robotics solutions both in simulation and in the real world
• Design automated robotic systems used to increase production and precision levels within a specific industry
• Lead marketing and product management activities of the mechatronics team
• Participate in technical pre-sales activities
• Perform regular research in navigation, sensing, decision-making, performance of robotic mechanism components or systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
• Strong experience in designing, integrating, and commissioning complex robotics or industrial automation systems
• Advanced knowledge of PLC and SCADA technologies, preferably Siemens; experience with Beckhoff or Allen Bradley is an advantage
• Hands-on experience with industrial robotic platforms such as Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Universal Robots
• Practical expertise in electrical system design, control cabinets, and electrical engineering documentation using ePlan or AutoCAD Electrical
• Solid understanding of robotics principles, control systems, hardware/software architecture, safety engineering, and industrial standards
• Proficiency in English for customer-facing communication, workshops, and technical documentation
• Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective collaboration skills
• Experience with mechanical design in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (nice to have)
• Knowledge of C++ or Python development for embedded systems, including ARM-based platforms and RTOS environments (nice to have)
• Experience with PCB design, prototyping, electronics integration, and breadboarding (nice to have)
