Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an Engineer in Generator Electrical Design to lead electrical design activities for turbogenerators, supporting R&D, tendering and requisition engineering. The role requires strong fundamentals in electrical design and experience with rotating machinery.

Responsibilities include analysis across electrical, electromagnetic, thermal and ventilation aspects, plus collaboration with manufacturing, sourcing and project teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering or related field with emphasis on electric power and rotating machinery.
• Experience designing rotating electrical machinery, preferably large rotating machines.
• Proficiency with electromagnetic design packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design activities for turbogenerators within projects.
• Perform design analysis: electrical, electromagnetic, thermal and ventilation.
• Support manufacturing, sourcing, erection and commissioning as required.
• Interface with other design groups to ensure homogeneity of the generator.
• Provide technical support for offers, sales and project management.
• Evaluate erection, commissioning and operation electrical data.
• Learn and apply budget, quality and schedule constraints.
