Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Manager – Mechanical Commodity Management, Europe, based in Poland at either our Bielsko-Biala or Tczew facility. You will lead regional supplier strategy and sourcing execution across metal, fabricated metal, packaging, fasteners, hardware, and other mechanical categories, in close alignment with global commodity and supplier strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
• Significant progressive experience in mechanical sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or supplier-facing roles.
• Proven experience managing European mechanical suppliers and complex negotiations.
• Executive presence and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Europe and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Manage regional mechanical commodity strategy, execution, and performance.
• Translate growth priorities into regional supplier, sourcing, capacity, and risk plans.
• Identify, assess, qualify, and develop suppliers meeting technical and geographic requirements.
• Build relationships with strategic European suppliers and escalate issues as needed.
• Lead complex supplier negotiations covering pricing, terms, rebates, and capacity.
• Monitor supplier capabilities, market conditions, and cost drivers.
• Partner with Engineering on material selection and value engineering.
• Ensure agreements are understood and executable by suppliers.
• Support quotations, new-product introductions, localization, and ramping in Europe.
• Develop sourcing solutions balancing cost, quality, lead time, and reliability.
