Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Mainframe Automation Engineer to lead migration and optimization of mainframe automation. You will transition from CA OPS/MVS to Tivoli SA for z/OS and from CA Automation Point to SAIOM, shaping automation strategy and operations in a complex z/OS environment.

You will collaborate with the Automation team to implement policy-based automation, reduce overhead, and improve system responsiveness.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years in a mainframe operations environment.
Advanced knowledge of Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and migration projects.
Strong proficiency with TSO/ISPF and JCL for system management.

Responsibilities

Lead migration projects from CA OPS/MVS to Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and CA Automation Point to SAIOM.
Configure and implement Systems Automation solutions, including policy-based automation for z/OS environments.
Develop and maintain automation rules, REXX scripts, and PDB configurations.
Provide installation and configuration support for automation products.
Collaborate with operations to optimize startup, shutdown, and recovery processes.
Ensure high availability and efficiency through proactive automation strategies.
Document configurations and migration steps; communicate with stakeholders.
Troubleshoot automation issues in production environments.
