HCLTech is seeking an Automation SME specializing in Mainframe Operations to advance automation initiatives for large-scale enterprise clients on IBM Z environments.

You will lead migration projects, provide expert consultancy, and develop automation policies using PDB, writing JCL and REXX, while mentoring teammates and ensuring IT service excellence.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mainframe operations environment in an operational, service, consultancy, or support capacity.
• Proficiency in TSO and ISPF usage.
• Experience writing REXX code and managing System Automation Policy Database (PDB).
• Implementation and operational experience with NetView for z/OS and System Automation for z/OS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Lead and participate in mainframe automation migration projects, ensuring seamless implementation and minimal service disruption.
• Provide expert consultancy and operational support for mainframe environments, including service delivery and troubleshooting.
• Develop, modify, and manage automation policies using the System Automation Policy Database (PDB).
• Utilize TSO and ISPF for mainframe operations management and problem resolution.
• Write and maintain JCL scripts and REXX programs to automate operational tasks and processes.
• Implement and support IBM automation solutions, specifically NetView for z/OS and System Automation for z/OS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation best practices and continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain high-quality documentation for automation procedures, standards, and policies.
• Mentor junior team members, share knowledge, and foster a collaborative team environment.

Overview of the Role

As an Automation SME specializing in Mainframe Operations, you will play a critical role in advancing HCLTech’s automation initiatives for large-scale enterprise clients. Your expertise will directly impact operational efficiency, system reliability, and the successful migration and deployment of automation solutions on IBM Z environments. You will serve as a technical consultant, guiding project teams and clients in optimizing their mainframe automation strategies.
