Job summary

ALGOTEQUE Innovation Hub is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to manage our Linux-based application servers and infrastructure. You will work independently on complex operational tasks and contribute to strategic technology decisions while mentoring junior team members.

The role emphasizes preserving operational availability, security, and scalable infrastructure across heterogeneous environments with cutting-edge tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Unix/Linux administration and application server management experience.
• Proven knowledge of JBoss EAP, Kafka, Camunda, Elastic, and related tech on RHEL and Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience with mass operation of Linux servers.
• Knowledge of Red Hat and VMware technologies (Ansible, RH Satellite, Git, Kubernetes, Argo CD, VMware vSphere) is advantageous.
• English proficiency for technical documentation and support; Czech language fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure management: Install/configure software and hardware; manage servers and tools; set up user accounts and access controls; monitor performance and maintain systems.
• Operations & maintenance: Troubleshoot issues; ensure security, backups, and availability; monitor performance and uptime.
• Development & strategic planning: Plan/test/implement upgrades; document procedures; analyze needs and propose solutions aligned with strategy; supervise junior staff; contribute to future development.
