Job summary

KK Group is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer – Core Engineering to shape and govern engineering standards globally. The role requires strategic thinking, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance product development capabilities.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Core Engineering, you will mentor engineers, drive KPIs, and contribute to the digital thread strategy across IT and business architecture teams.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems, Product Development).
  • Solid experience in product development and engineering design processes.
  • Experience with engineering systems like ALM, PLM, Windchill or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop Core Engineering domains, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Define and continuously improve engineering processes, methods, and ways of working across the product lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain global standards, templates, guidelines, and governance principles.
  • Drive strategic improvements in product development processes from concept to market introduction.
  • Strengthen design quality, requirements management, systems engineering, and governance practices.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to competence development across the organisation.

We are looking for a Senior Lead Engineer – Core Engineering who will play a key role in defining and governing engineering standards, processes, and best practices across Global Technology. This position combines strategic thinking, technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen our product development capabilities and support the growth of our own intellectual property and platform solutions.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Core Engineering, you will act as a trusted expert and change leader, helping to shape the future of engineering within KK Group.

Responsibilities
  • Own and develop selected Core Engineering domains, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Define and continuously improve engineering processes, methods, and ways of working across the product lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain global standards, templates, guidelines, and governance principles.
  • Drive strategic improvements in product development processes from concept to market introduction.
  • Strengthen design quality, requirements management, systems engineering, and engineering governance practices.
  • Support adoption of digital engineering solutions and the digital thread strategy in cooperation with IT and business architecture teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and alignment activities across global engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Define, monitor, and improve engineering KPIs, maturity indicators, and performance metrics.
  • Support complex engineering process challenges and governance decisions.
  • Mentor engineers and actively contribute to competence development across the organisation.
  • Promote a culture of openness, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps, prioritisation activities, and strategic planning initiatives.
Our requirements

Education & Experience
Master's or Bachelor's degree in:

  • Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
    Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Product Development, or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Solid experience in product development and engineering design processes.
  • Strong background in Process Excellence, Engineering Governance, Design Quality, Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Experience working with global engineering organisations and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with engineering systems such as ALM, PLM, Windchill, or similar solutions.
  • Understanding of digital engineering, product lifecycle management, and engineering transformation initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of the complete product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to design scalable engineering processes and governance models.
  • Strong knowledge of requirements management and systems engineering principles.
  • Experience defining KPIs, maturity assessments, and evidence-based decision frameworks.
  • Ability to bridge business needs with engineering and digital solution capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
