Job summary

Ericsson Kraków is seeking a Layer 1 Developer to help prepare a powerful UE Simulator for 5G/6G and form the core team for its future development. The role sits in the Simulation Services (SIMS) unit, delivering simulators for product verification instead of real devices.

The candidate will join an agile team, configure hardware-backed simulators and collaborate across analysis, design and implementation in small increments to enable fast feedback.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience configuring and testing software on hardware.
• Familiarity with LTE/5G physical layer specs and network standards.
• Strong multi-core / multithreaded programming knowledge.
• Experience with embedded systems and hardware interaction.
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Layer 1 development of a UE Simulator as part of an agile team.
• Configure and test simulators on hardware, ensuring reliability and accuracy.
• Support internal Ericsson users with a key product for 5G/6G.
• Engage in analysis, system design, pre-development and small incremental implementations.
