Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Kraków is seeking a skilled Java backend engineer for a long-term enterprise project in the investment banking sector. You will design, build, and evolve backend services using Java 11+ and Spring Boot within a distributed microservices environment.

You will collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and product owners in an Agile setup, implementing REST/SOAP APIs, Kafka messaging, and BPM-driven workflows with Flowable.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in JVM languages (Java11+).
• Spring Boot and enterprise backend development.
• Experience with distributed microservices architectures.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB).
• Testing frameworks: JUnit/TestNG/Mockito/WireMock.
• Security: OAuth2/JWT, Spring Security.
• Agile practices and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
• Cloud technologies familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise backend services with Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to distributed microservices architecture design and evolution.
• Implement REST and SOAP APIs and event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Develop BPM workflows with a BPM engine (Flowable preferred).
• Ensure code quality using SOLID, Clean Code, and design patterns; conduct reviews.
• Write unit and integration tests with JUnit/TestNG/Mockito/WireMock.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB; engage in cloud/container environments.
• Implement security/authentication via OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Docker/Kubernetes deployment; mentor peers.
