Job summary

Luxoft Poland seeks a seasoned Java backend engineer to join a long-term, enterprise-scale project for a global investment banking client. You will design and evolve backend services, integrate microservices, and contribute to technical direction in an agile team.

You will work with Spring Boot, Java 11+, Kafka, BPM workflows, and cloud-enabled, containerized environments, focusing on security, scalability, and maintainability. Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and product owners.

Qualifications

Solid JVM experience and design patterns.
Spring Boot framework expertise.
Enterprise-level development with 7+ years track record.
Understanding distributed microservices and communication patterns.
Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB.
Testing: JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, WireMock.
Security: OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security.
Agile methodologies and collaboration.
Cloud familiarity and DevOps awareness.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services using Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
Contribute to the design and evolution of distributed microservices architectures.
Implement and integrate REST and SOAP APIs and event-driven solutions using Kafka.
Develop BPM-driven workflows (Flowable) and ensure code quality via SOLID/clean code.
Write comprehensive unit/integration tests (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, WireMock).
Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB; ensure data integrity and performance.
Implement security with OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security.
Collaborate with DevOps on Docker/Kubernetes deployments.
Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Coordinate with QA, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
