Job summary

Infosys in Krakow, Poland is seeking a Senior Java Integration Platform Engineer to build, enhance, and support an in-house integration product. The platform leverages Apache Camel and Spring Boot to connect APIs, cloud services, databases, and enterprise applications.

You will own technical design, develop reusable components, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes deployments, and cross‑functional initiatives with global teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Java development and enterprise integration experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.
• Experience building integration platforms, middleware products, or reusable integration frameworks.
• Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the client-owned in-house integration platform/product.
• Design reusable integration components and services using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.
• Build microservices, APIs, Camel routes, route templates, Kamelets, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Integrate cloud services, databases, enterprise applications, and messaging platforms.
• Deploy and support applications in Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS environments.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and engineering quality controls.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and mentor junior engineers.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Java Integration Engineer to build, enhance, and support the client's in-house integration product. The platform is built using Apache Camel and Spring Boot and enables integration across APIs, cloud services, databases, event brokers, and enterprise applications. The role requires strong product engineering ownership, reusable component development, and collaboration with global teams.

Required Skills

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with SQL, JPA, Hibernate, and relational databases such as Oracle.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and Agile delivery practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Apache Camel route templates, Kamelets, and Camel 4.x.
• Messaging technologies such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, or IBM MQ.
• OpenTelemetry, Open Policy Agent, JBang, JMeter, SonarQube, Splunk, or ELK.
• Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with authentication, authorization, secrets management, and OWASP-aligned development.
• Experience leading design discussions and mentoring engineers

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
