Job summary

OPTIVEUM sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a client in the banking sector to build a new API Management platform enabling fast integrations with partners.

You will automate infrastructure (EKS via Terraform), set up monitoring and logs, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and manage Kong Gateway environments and Kubernetes clusters, with hybrid arrangement (Gdynia/Gdańsk preferred).

Qualifications

• Senior level DevOps experience in cloud and container platforms.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Ansible and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, Splunk).
• Fluent English is required.

Responsibilities

• Automating the provisioning of infrastructure (such as EKS) for API gateways using Terraform.
• Setting up and improving monitoring, logging, and metrics systems.
• Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to update APIs and configuration changes.
• Managing container deployments and Kubernetes environments.

Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Gdynia, Gdańsk (preferred) or Warsaw, Łódź (Hybrid - 25% remote)

Rate: Up to 170 PLN/h net

Contract Type: B2B agreement (Contracting party: Optiveum)

About the Project

For our Client in the banking industry, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. You will be joining a project focused on building a new API Management platform to enable fast-to-market integrations within the bank and with external partners.

The team will also be building a new Portal for the API catalogue, which will require infrastructure setup, container deployment, Kubernetes management, and robust pipeline creation.

Your Responsibilities

• Automating the provisioning of infrastructure (such as EKS) for API gateways using Terraform.

• Setting up and improving monitoring, logging, and metrics systems.

• Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to update APIs and configuration changes.

• Managing container deployments and Kubernetes environments.

• Building and maintaining the environment for the Kong Gateway project, including infrastructure provisioning and migration.

Requirements

• Experience level: Senior

• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong experience with Terraform and AWS.

• Solid knowledge of Ansible.

• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus / Victoria Metrics (or similar), and Splunk.

• Fluent English is required.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Kong Gateway or other API gateway implementations.
