Job summary

HeadHR is seeking an experienced hands-on software developer and technical leader to design, implement and maintain mission-critical emergency call handling software. You will work in agile teams, extend the platform, manage architecture and reduce technical debt, with responsibilities spanning from design to deployment and maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Java or other languages and a related degree.
• Experience with microservices or distributed systems and REST APIs.
• Ability to coach, mentor others and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• English sufficient for communication with peers and customers in North America.

Responsibilities

• Develop mission-critical emergency call handling software end to end.
• Extend the capabilities of the mission-critical platform and enhance existing technologies.
• Work in agile teams using DevOps culture and a continuous delivery approach.
• Identify and reduce technical debt, refactor code, contribute to architecture and support complex technical tasks.
• Provide maintenance in a 24/6 support model.
