Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Software Engineer to join an Integrations team building and scaling mission-critical systems that connect a public safety platform with third-party tools like 911 centers and state databases. You will design and build integration workflows using Java and Spring Boot, and contribute to reliable data pipelines for RMS, CAD, and Booking.

The role is backend-focused with emphasis on clean, testable, well-documented integration solutions and collaboration across engineers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing integrations with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL.
• Experience with automated testing and Agile development.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Strong collaboration skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations between the platform and third-party client systems.
• Develop integration workflows using Java and modern platforms.
• Enhance RMS, CAD, and Booking products with scalable integrations.
• Design secure, reusable cloud-based integration solutions.
• Write tests, debug issues, and improve reliability.
• Contribute to technical docs and automated build/deploy processes.
• Participate in code reviews and PR-driven development.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners.
