Job summary

Salve.Inno Consulting is seeking a senior Java engineer to provide technical leadership while designing, building and shipping production code across multiple backend services. You will work with AWS, Kubernetes and Docker in a distributed cloud-native environment, collaborating with product owners and DevOps to deliver scalable solutions across several microservices.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of backend engineering experience.
• Hands-on Java development experience.
• Proven design/implementation of microservices or distributed systems.
• Production Python code experience.
• Strong AWS and cloud-native architecture knowledge.
• Kubernetes and Docker hands-on.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Ability to influence architecture and mentor engineers.
• Excellent communication with technical and product stakeholders.
• English proficiency at C1+ level.
• EU resident eligible for a B2B contract.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, primarily in Java
• Write production-quality code as a core part of daily work
• Contribute to Python services when required
• Work across multiple interconnected microservices
• Influence technical and architectural decisions
• Break down complex requirements and guide implementation
• Review code and establish engineering standards
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance
• Collaborate with Product Owners to evaluate requirements and delivery approaches
• Build and operate cloud-native services on AWS
• Deploy and run containerised applications with Kubernetes and Docker
• Work with DevOps on CI/CD, deployment, scalability and reliability
• Use data and analytics to support technical decisions
• Contribute to testing, documentation and SDLC improvements
• Support AI-assisted engineering tools adoption
