Job summary

Coforge in Kraków is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our international team. You will drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable software, migrating a legacy system to a modern microservices architecture and containerizing on GKE.

You will work across teams in Poland and India, using Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP APIs, and cloud platforms. The role expects strong English communication, Agile practices, and a commitment to code quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Core Java 11+ and backend development.
• Proven experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Cloud experience, preferably GCP.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Experience building REST and SOAP APIs.
• SQL proficiency.
• Familiar with GitHub, Maven, and Jenkins.
• Unit testing with JUnit.
• Fluent English in international teams.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software components.
• Lead modernization from monolith to microservices.
• Containerize product and deploy on Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Own features from design to deployment.
• Develop and integrate REST and SOAP APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Poland & India teams.
• Improve CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
