Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a team building a large-scale Java application for a major loyalty program. You will analyze business requirements and production issues to craft robust solutions while working closely with business stakeholders and product teams.

You will own features end-to-end from design through testing, deployment and production support, with monthly business trips to Warsaw.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Java backend development for large-scale enterprise applications and complex codebases.
• Solid knowledge of Java, Spring/Spring Boot, OO design principles, and clean code practices.
• Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, performance optimization, and maintainability.
• Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Advanced level of Polish and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a large-scale Java application running in the cloud.
• Analyze business requirements and production issues to design robust, maintainable solutions.
• Own features end-to-end, from requirements analysis through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and other engineers.
• Communicate technical concepts and solution proposals clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality and support continuous delivery.
• Document architectural decisions, design concepts, and implementation approaches; participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
