Job summary

Your ITeams Sp. z o.o. in Poland is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a banking-sector team. The role is hybrid from Wroclaw or Kraków, with at least three days on-site weekly, and close collaboration with frontend teams using TypeScript and React.

You will take over tasks from an external vendor, design and implement backend features with Java and Spring Boot, optimize existing code, and contribute to architecture, testing and CI/CD practices.

Senior Java Developer (hybrid from Wrocław or Cracow)

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer (hybrid from Wrocław or Cracow) to join a banking-sector team responsible for taking over tasks from another vendor, developing new functionalities and maintaining a production application. This role is based in an office in Wrocław or Kraków with a minimum of three days per week on-site. The person in this role will work with Java, Spring, relational databases, a Key-Value store such as Redis, and TypeScript with React for full-stack collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Take over and smoothly transition tasks and codebases from an external vendor, ensuring continuity and quality.
• Design, implement and deliver new backend features using Java and Spring (Core, Boot).
• Maintain and enhance existing application functionality, including bug fixes, performance tuning and refactoring.
• Work with relational databases (design, queries, optimizations) and integrate Key-Value stores such as Redis.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers using TypeScript and React to deliver end-to-end features and APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback and follow team development practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, documentation and cross-team knowledge transfer.
