Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a Senior Java Developer to help build the platform that supports information gathering and processing for a global bank. You will own key projects and drive all SDLC phases, delivering scalable, high-performance solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional team.

The role focuses on Java with Spring Boot, SQL/PL-SQL, REST, Kafka and Redis, in a hybrid setup across Polish sites. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of experience with Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot, REST web services and SQL/PL-SQL on Oracle DB.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Redis and Unix commands/shell scripting.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Jira, Harness/uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity and Git tooling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned development projects within agreed schedule, quality and scope.
• Participate in all stages of SDLC within an agile Scrum environment.
• Collaborate with technology vendors and deepen product understanding.
• Enhance/re-architect components for performance and scalability.
• Provide level 3 (escalation) support for the application.

For the world most global bank we are building the platform, which supports various information gathering and processing across the organization and providing access to this data

Candidate will be responsible for building out the firm's strategic reference data platforms to serve businesses within client company. The successful applicant will take ownership of key projects and components and will be responsible for all phases of SDLC including analysis and design, development, testing and deployment. As a developer, the candidate will be responsible for developing & deploying technical solution following engineering excellence standards. A potential candidate will need to understand system and enterprise architecture concepts and will be expected to understand how all components fir together and impact one another. They will work with a global and diverse team of peers as well as liaise closely with Business Analyst, Production Support, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Java (Core, JDBC, MT, Collections, I/O), Spring Boot

  • Familiarity with standard data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience using the following tools - JIRA, Harness/uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity, Artifactory, Git (GHE & Bitbucket)
• Logical thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; innovate and solutions oriented
• Effective time management skills to manage multiple priorities with flexibility on time zones and timelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
