Job summary

Addepto is modernising a large operational platform and building a cloud-native Azure-based stack. You will redesign legacy Java/Spring components, migrate data from Oracle to PostgreSQL, and deliver scalable services with OpenAPI contracts while working in a practical, hands-on role.

The project emphasizes production-first delivery, automated testing, and seamless CI/CD pipelines in a distributed environment with Databricks for analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Java backend development experience and hands-on coding.
• Strong Java (5+) and Spring Boot, with Spring ecosystem familiarity.
• Relational DB skills: PostgreSQL and Oracle, SQL, JPA/Hibernate, migrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services in Java/Spring Boot from domain model to API.
• Re-implement legacy logic by analyzing Java/Spring code and PL/SQL with tests ensuring parity.
• Build PostgreSQL data layer: schema, migrations, and performance tuning.
