is seeking a skilled Java software engineer to design, develop, and maintain Java applications for pension and savings products. You will implement tax calculation engines across multiple countries, support complex business processes, and collaborate with financial analysts to translate requirements into robust solutions. Responsibilities include architecture design reviews, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring code quality with CI/CD pipelines and modern Java

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and Spring-based application development.
• Proficiency in relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with messaging technologies (JMS, MQ).
• Strong knowledge of Java frameworks including Spring and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for data production/consumption.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of OO design patterns and programming principles.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications supporting pension and savings products.
• Build and enhance tax calculation engines across countries.
• Develop solutions for complex business processes, tax authority integrations, and customer reporting.
• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with financial analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor developers and act as a code reviewer and design sparring partner.
• Promote practical engineering practices within the team.
• Use AI-assisted development and automation to improve productivity and quality.
• Contribute collaboration and analytical skills to solve technical challenges.
