Job summary

Incubyte is a remote-first software craft consultancy seeking a Software Craftsperson (SC-II) with 3+ years of experience in Java and Angular. You will own design, development, and deployment across backend and frontend teams, following XP practices and leveraging AI tools to speed delivery while maintaining high standards.

Ideal candidates excel in Java, Micronaut or Spring, Hibernate, and Angular, with strong OO design, testing, and CI/CD experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Java development experience and strong fundamentals.
• Experience with modern Java frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring.
• Solid understanding of OO design, principles, and patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Java collections and multithreading.
• Experience with Hibernate ORM and relational databases.
• Familiarity with build tools like Gradle or Maven and unit testing with JUnit.
• Frontend experience with Angular and TypeScript is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own feature-level design, delivery, and quality across backend and frontend applications.
• Build reliable, maintainable, and testable software using clean code and disciplined practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Work in an AI-native development model, leveraging AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining quality.
• Mentor peers and contribute to continuous engineering practice improvements.
• Participate in modern development workflows including CI/CD and collaborative software development.
