Job description

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to lead the internationalization and localization of our flagship FDA-regulated iOS mobile applications. In this role, you will architect scalable solutions using modern Apple frameworks and The Composable Architecture (TCA) while ensuring compliance with medical device software standards. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior engineers, influence technical direction, and ensure that our app is ready for global markets.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional iOS development experience, including shipping apps at scale.
  • Expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine.
  • Strong experience with The Composable Architecture (TCA) or equivalent state management frameworks.
  • Experience shipping internationalized apps in multiple markets.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS UI frameworks, AutoLayout, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and influence architectural decisions.
  • Familiarity with IEC 62304 software lifecycle processes and medical device quality systems.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across Engineering, QA, Regulatory, and Product teams.
  • Experience with Git and Agile software development preferred.
Job responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and verification of internationalization and localization features for global markets.
  • Architect modular and testable solutions using SwiftUI, Combine, and TCA, ensuring scalability and long-term maintainability.
  • Ensure that UI and workflows meet accessibility, usability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with QA and Regulatory teams to support compliance with FDA, IEC 62304, and Client design assurance SOPs.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce quality-driven best practices.
  • Drive localization test strategy, including automated testing for multiple languages.
  • Proactively identify risks, performance issues, and usability concerns to maintain patient safety and product reliability.
  • Stay up to date with Apple technologies and best practices in global mobile app development.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams based in the USA and Mexico.
  • May require weekly or daily sync-ups in US time zones (PST and EST).
