Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Understand current cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities thoroughly to identify mitigations.
• Develop LLM workflows and AI agents to process intelligence and analyze adversary behavior.
• CVE/Vulnerability assessment and reporting.
• Research emerging attack tools, techniques, and procedures.
• Produce and present intelligence to internal security teams and partners.
• Develop tools to collect and analyze intelligence from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with security architects, researchers, and software engineers to improve resilience.

As a Senior II Security Researcher you will be responsible for:

• Understanding current cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities thoroughly ensures effective identification and implementation of mitigation strategies.
• Developing LLM workflows and AI agents to process unstructured intelligence, analyze adversary behaviors, and enhance the threat intelligence platform.
• CVE/Vulnerability Assessment
• Researching emerging attack tools, techniques, and procedures while identifying effective strategies to safeguard against potential threats.
• Producing and presenting intelligence or research for use by internal security teams, customer security groups, and the broader security community.
• Developing research tools to facilitate the collection and analysis of intelligence derived from both internal and external sources.
• Collaborating with Security Architects, Researchers, and Software Engineers to enhance Akamai systems' resilience against pressure from adversaries.

• Demonstrate expertise in computer and network security, computer science, mathematics, or engineering.
• Demonstrate knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, techniques, tools, and their application in cybersecurity assessments and vulnerability identification.
• Understand security technologies, processes, and concepts comprehensively to ensure effective implementation and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Develop expertise in TCP, UDP, HTTP, and DNS protocols for effective network communication and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrate technical aptitude while maintaining enthusiasm for continuous learning and growth in skills and knowledge acquisition.
• Understand cybercrime, cyberwarfare, underground networks, and associated groups involved in these activities comprehensively and effectively.
• Conduct dark web research and uncover indicators.
