Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Senior Go Engineer to build and scale backend services, APIs, and internal systems for healthcare-focused products. This freelance role offers daily rate and requires fully remote work with overlap to EST.

You will design high-performance Go microservices, deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker, and mentor teammates while improving code quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong AWS cloud and microservices architecture experience.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless tech (Lambda).
• Strong knowledge of Kafka and TypeScript.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Monitoring/observability with Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry, etc.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-performance Go-based services and microservices.
• Build scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies.
• Develop and support APIs and backend systems powering onboarding and internal platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver new product functionality.
• Improve code quality via testing, automation, monitoring, and refactoring.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and standards.
• Analyse system performance and troubleshoot production issues.
