Job summary

AFRY is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Mining infrastructure team, delivering projects for Finland with a strong emphasis on dam and tailings facilities, water management, and earthworks. You will collaborate with a diverse, international team and contribute to design through FEED to detailed engineering.

Based in Poland and flexible on office location (Poznań, Kraków or Łódź) with a hybrid working environment, you will support projects across Nordic regions and leverage

Qualifications

• A qualified degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering from a reputed College/University.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructural design with a focus on civil structures or mining infrastructure.
• Experience in designing dams, tailings storage facilities, water management structures, waterways, waste storage facilities, stability and settlement calculations, dam inspections and monitoring, closure design, and geotextiles. Both in the pre-design and construction design phases (feasibility study -> detailed engineering).
• Good skills in Autocad Civil 3D, Geocalc / Plaxis / RocScience / Geostudio.
• A good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office.
