AFRY is seeking a Geotechnical Designer in Mining infrastructure to work on projects in Finland. You will join the Mining infrastructure team and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts across cultures, contributing to feasibility studies through detailed design.

Qualifications

• Qualified degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of infrastructure design experience.
• Experience with dams, tailings storage facilities, water structures.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Geocalc, Plaxis, RocScience, Geostudio.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Tailings storage facilities, dams and water management structures.
• Waste rock and stockpile area design.
• Earthworks, foundations and site infrastructure.
• Design documentation, drawings and technical reporting.
• Geotechnical calculations.
• Layout and 3D model production.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams.
