AFRY, a leading engineering and advisory company, seeks a Geotechnical/Civil Engineer to contribute to mining infrastructure projects in Finland and Central Europe. You will join a team of professionals, work on feasibility through detailed design, and collaborate across cultures and disciplines to deliver innovative solutions.

The role involves hybrid work with offices in Poznań, Kraków or Łódź, participating in 2–5 project teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
• 5–10 years of relevant infrastructural design experience
• Experience designing dams, tailings facilities & water management structures
• CEFR English level B1 or higher
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Geocalc/Plaxis/RocScience/Geostudio & MS Office

Responsibilities

• Mining infrastructure design
• Tailings storage facilities, dams and water management structures
• Waste rock and stockpile area design
• Earthworks, foundations and site infrastructure
• Design documentation, drawings and reporting
• Geotechnical calculations
• Layout and 3D model production
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams
