Job summary

WIT Software seeks an experienced Generative AI Engineer to join its Product Team. You will design, build and maintain scalable backend services for AI-powered applications, leveraging LLMs and multi-modal models to deliver production-grade AI solutions.

You will lead RAG pipelines, API design, and cloud-native architectures while mentoring peers and ensuring robust, secure deployments. The role emphasizes strong Python skills, async programming, and a strong product sense to create intuitive AI

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years building Generative AI applications with LLMs.
• Proficiency with speech and multimodal models.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong Python skills and async/concurrent programming.
• Understanding of CI/CD and software engineering best practices.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and containerization.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services for AI-powered applications.
• Build production-ready Generative AI solutions using LLMs.
• Design and optimize RAG or tool-based pipelines and AI orchestration workflows.
• Create scalable APIs, distributed systems and vector search solutions.
• Evaluate and optimize foundation models for various use cases.
• Improve AI system performance, scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, documentation and best practices.
• Research emerging AI technologies and standards.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers on Generative AI.
