Zusammenfassung

Jack Wolfskin is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant (m/w/d) in Gdynia to strengthen our Finance Department. You will manage and maintain the General Ledger for assigned entities, ensuring accurate journal entries, accruals, deferrals and adjustments, while supporting month-end and year-end close.

This role requires 5+ years in accounting within international environments, strong IFRS knowledge, and proficiency with SAP or Oracle.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an international company or SSC/BPO.
• Strong knowledge of GL and Record-to-Report processes.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Fluent English (German or other EU languages are a plus).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently.

Aufgaben

• Manage and maintain General Ledger accounting for assigned entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and settlements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Controlling, and operational stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation.
• Contribute to best-practice development within the Finance function.
