Job summary

EY GDS Poland is seeking a Senior GCP Data Engineer to build scalable data platforms on Google Cloud, with emphasis on BigQuery and modern data warehousing. You will work on international projects with cross-functional teams, delivering robust data solutions and advancing data-driven decision making.

The role requires 4 years in data engineering, 2 years on GCP, strong SQL/Python skills, and experience across data warehouses, data pipelines, and data mesh concepts. Excellent English is essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in Data Engineering
• 2 years of experience in Big Data using Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proficient in SQL and/or Python
• Background in data warehousing, data pipelines, distributed data processing, software engineering components and data modeling concepts
• Analytical problem-solving skills in big data environments
• Experience with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
• Strong experience in relational databases and non-relational storage
• Familiarity with Data Marts, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Mesh
• Very good English (verbal and written)
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), DevOps and CI/CD

Responsibilities

• Build data platforms enabling data-driven decisions across clients and partners
• Design robust solutions on GCP and modern data warehousing like BigQuery
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and partners across teams
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and data engineering best practices
