Job summary

Luxoft in Poland seeks a senior engineer to deliver features end to end using React/Next.js for the front end and Python (FastAPI/Django) for the back end. You will design APIs, integrate databases (PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB), and manage CI/CD pipelines deploying to Azure.

Maintain contract consistency via OpenAPI/GraphQL and write comprehensive tests to ensure production readiness. You will own end-to-end delivery, collaborate on shared data models (TypeScript/Pydantic), and drive deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software development with 4+ years delivering full-stack features (React front end, Python back end) and 2+ years deploying to Azure.
• Python 3.11+, FastAPI and/or Django, SQLAlchemy / Django ORM, pytest.
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; Docker; Bicep or Terraform at working level.
• REST and GraphQL design, authentication (OAuth2 / OIDC, Azure AD / Entra ID).

Responsibilities

• Deliver features end to end across the React/Next.js front end and Python back end.
• Design APIs and database integration (PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB) for the features owned.
• Wire up and maintain CI/CD pipelines deploying to Azure (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions, containers, IaC).
• Keep front-end and back-end contracts consistent (OpenAPI / GraphQL schema as source of truth).
• Write unit, integration and E2E tests; automate deployment readiness checks.
• Resolve cross-layer defects found in UAT and production.
• End-to-end delivery of assigned features through to production, including release notes and runbooks.
• Consistency between front-end and back-end contracts and shared TypeScript / Pydantic models.
• Deployment readiness: pipelines, environment configuration, feature flags and rollback.
• Cross-layer defect resolution and root-cause analysis.
