Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. The role combines backend Java Spring Boot work with modern frontend development (Angular or React) in a hybrid setup with offices in Kraków, Wrocław, or Gdańsk.

You will design, implement, and test scalable applications, build RESTful APIs, and contribute to distributed architectures while collaborating with international teams and adhering to best practices in security and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Full Stack software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building enterprise-grade backend applications.
• Solid knowledge of Spring Security for implementing authentication, authorization, and secure application design.
• Proven experience in designing and developing REST APIs following industry best practices.
• Proficiency in working with SQL databases, including writing complex queries, performance tuning, and data modeling.
• Experience writing reliable and maintainable tests using JUnit or similar testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming, asynchronous messaging, and building event-driven architectures.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework — Angular or React — including component-based architecture and state management.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international, Agile team environment.
• Proficiency in English (B2+), both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable fullstack applications using Java-based backend technologies and modern frontend frameworks.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services to support complex business requirements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle — from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, business analysts, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and advocate for best practices in code quality, security, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure maintainability and adherence to coding standards.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and stability of delivered features.
• Work with messaging systems and asynchronous communication patterns to support distributed architectures.
• Continuously identify opportunities for technical improvement and contribute to the evolution of the technology stack.
